Why pray?
Prayer is at the heart of Christian practice but, for many of us, prayer is something we tend to forget or ignore.
But Jesus tells us (Mt 18:20) that, where two or three are gathered in his name, he is there. Paul tells us in different passages (e.g., Eph. 6:18) that we are to pray for one another.
Wednesday afternoons, we gather together for a half-hour of prayer. During the COVID-19 crisis, however, we are not coming together but we are setting aside the time to pray together.
All are welcome.
